FAQ
Yoga is a word from the Indian Sanskrit and means something like "union, integration, tightening" of the body to the soul for gathering and concentration or becoming one with one's own consciousness.
Yoga is a philosophical doctrine originating in India that combines mental and physical exercises and practices.
Yoga can be practised by people of all ages and healthy physical conditions and is a great way to relax and revitalise. Correct execution of the exercise is particularly important, so regular yoga practice under the guidance of a trained yoga instructor, such as at the Manhattan Club Vienna or Brunn, is recommended.
We offer group classes for Astanga Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga at Manhattan Club Vienna and Club Brunn. Participation in the group classes is included in the membership.
Please just go to the class of your choice, in the Manhattan Clubs the group classes are included in the membership. Only extra workshops and cycling classes have a registration list at reception as places are limited.
Other trainings
Yin Yoga
In calmer yin yoga, the focus is on longer stretches: In order to reach deeper layers of tissue, the asanas are held for longer periods of time.
We combine Yin Yoga with the more dynamic Vinyasa Yoga and call it Yinyasa Yoga. Here, strengthening and completely relaxing exercises alternate. Ideal for beginners and advanced practitioners who want to both burn off energy and calm down.
